Less than one week to catch an earworm

Happy new decade!

Hope you’re fulfilling the many resolutions you declared. Among other goals, I vowed to hang up my clothes after removing them…I haven’t quite succeeded…yet...

Finally Benny and I can publicly share that Tuesday, February 11 we collaborate with the LA Philharmonic (!!!) as we creatively direct, arrange, orchestrate, and part-translate Musik! Fantasie! Revolution!, a cabaret of German songs from the Weimar Republic (1918-1933) in conjunction with their Weimar Festival. Since August we have been researching the period and have discovered many wonderful songs…but after the LA Phil announced the event yesterday, within hours it sold out!

So the next affair at which you can catch us is our upcoming bonanza And On the 366th DaySaturday, February 29, 8pm at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex. After last year’s smash It’s National See-a-Show Day! sold out their Intimate Theatre, we reinhabit the black box for a new program glittering with j-b faves and several numbers never-before-heard in LA or anywhere!

Don’t tarry and act when it’s too late! Especially because in less than one week, purchase seats by January 15 to enter the Early Bird Catches the Earworm Sweepstakes: chosen at random, one lucky patron will win a dinner with Benny and I and, based on the table talk, an entirely new song which we’ll debut in the show and then gift the winner with an autographed copy of the sheet music. Visit luckmanarts.org, call (323) 343-6600, or journey to the box office (5151 State University Dr, Los Angeles) where you can waive all impertinent fees and selfie with the larger-than-life banner of us shimmering atop the pavilion.
Can we really see clearly in 2020? We’ll see…

Love,
Jack
